Singing at AW WE (AsiaWorks ArtWeekEnd)

The video was made when I sang at AW AWE(AsiaWorks ArtWeekEnd) in Sultan Hasanuddin last Saturday, December 12, 209..I sang my "hit" : Cinta Tak Butuh Alasan (Love Doesn't Need a Reason). I WROTE the song myself. I had to change the mike since the 1st mike produced little sound so my voice was "drowned" by the music. Luckily after I used the second mike, my voice turned out great!!At first, I was CONFUSED as to WHY the audience was so SILENT during my performance. I thought that they didn't like my song. Fortunately, at the END of the SONG, they gave a STANDING APPLAUSE which had me relieved. Perhaps, they were silent throughout the song since they just HEARD the song for the very 1st time and they tried to "UNDERSTAND" the song..

I LUURVE the lighting on the stage, it made me look like I was singing in a CABARET or sumthing..:p

I've always known that I had many talents in arts..I know how to sing, draw, write short stories, poems and songs, act, model, MC (Master of Ceremony), dance (Salsa, Hip hop and Disco), and I also speak some foreign languages (I speak fluent English and some French, Italian and Spanish)..

Photography has always been an area of interest of mine, but I haven't had ANY professional training in this field. But I KNOW what constitutes a good photo, especially from an art point of view..

The pics above were made when I did the Mekarsari operette during break time. The models were noneother than my fellow co-stars: Kelly n Fitri. They're both beautiful and sexy women, so I've decided to EXPOSE THOSE SIDES intensely..At some points, I told them to act as VAMPS..And at other moments, I told them to be LESBIANS hahaha..So, after looking at these pics, what are YOUR comments, guys?Do I have what it takes to be a good photographer?

HIP HOP DANCE - MY HOBBY

DANCING is one of my fave hobbies in the arts department..I do Salsa, Cha cha, Disco n HIP HOP!!Hip hop dance is my latest craze..

The video below was made when I was in my gym class during Wednesday a few months ago..

I was dancing during the FASTING MONTH..Although the dancing took place AFTER I BROKE my fast, I still felt quite weak so I wasn't too "ENERGETIC" at the time..What do u think, folks?

CINTA TAK BUTUH ALASAN/LOVE DOESN'T NEED A REASON

The video below was made when I sang in one of the upper-class malls in Jakarta, Indonesia singing my own song "Cinta Tak Butuh Alasan(Love doesn't need a reason)"..

It's about a girl who's dating a "hot property", a guy who's seemingly so PERFECT and faultless, and hence, has a lot of beautiful/attractive girls after him. She feels that she's just "Common peasant" and she keeps on asking her BF as to why he chooses her over other girls..

The guy answers simply that "Love doesn't need a reason/Cinta tak Butuh Alasan". He doesn't know why he loves her, he just DOES..He loves her for what/who she is despite of her weaknesses/insecurities..Sigh, romantic, isn't it??:p

The audience gave a HUGE APPLAUSE as a feedback..I was SOO excited and happy that the song receives such a positive response..Can't wait to make another "HIT" :d

MY NEW TVC: TAMAN BUAH MEKARSARI

Dear friends,

It's been awhile since my last TVC was aired on TV..Well, thx to GOD I've landed another TVC...This time, it's for one of Indonesia's BIGGEST tourism park - TAMAN BUAH MEKARSARI located at CILEUNGSI.

The place is far from the noise of Jakarta city..It's a HUGE park and boasts a zillion hectare of land planted with fruit trees: melons, oranges, apples etc

Mekarsari has decided to do a "different" kind of promotion than other similar tourist parks..It presents 4 fairytales: Cinderella, Snow White, Alladdin and the Magic Lamp and Indonesia's Bawang Merah Bawang Putih..

I played a part as Cinderella's prince charming..The promotion is pretty COMPREHENSIVE: It consists of a TVC backed up by print ad, radio ad, billboard, posters and banners..There are about 5-7 BILLBOARDS located at different parts of Jakarta..The nearest one that you can check is at WARUNG BUNCIT, South Jakarta.I haven't seen it myself, though :p..Don't quite manage to find the time to..Well, one of these days I'd certainly find my way to see it and take some pics as documentation..

Oh, I forgot to mention that there will be a series of OPERETTES in Taman Buah Mekarsari with the following schedules:

- September 23 - 27, 2009
- October 4, 2009

All fairytales (Snow White, Cinderella, Aladdin n bawang Merah bawang Putih) will play 3 times a day..Be sure to catch them, guys!!Promise you, it will be worth your time!!C ya der!!

Just browsed Youtube and I found the original version of my SIMPATI TVC!!How surprising..

This is the one that didn't pass censorship..

The script was "too brave" since it went like this:

The president (SBY) was making a long distance call with Obama, but due to bad connection, he was deeply embarrased by his bad choice of provider.Therefore, I, as the president's adjutant, abruptly took the cell from the president's hand, and tell people to use "SIMPATI"

Funnyy thing is, EVERYONE loved this version, including the politicians and the PRESIDENT himself..They all thought it was funny..

Oh well, it's nice to see it anyway, for memory's sake!!:p

MY NEW APARTMENT

Aaaah..at last my apartment at Pondok Indah is finished..Took some time for the developer to have it done, but in the end, they did the job..Since it was pretty tough to find a tenant when it's unfurnished, we quickly put some gorgeous furniture there and my new tenant just couldn't wait to step his feet in my apartment..

The tenant is an old man, almost 70 and is a Canadian expat..He was willng to pay good rent, too...But it was worth all of his dollars..

My New SInetron

Hmm, life is full of surprises..Last nite when I was having dim sum with sum friends of mine at Kemang food Fest, suddenly I got a call from one of the production houses in Jkt. They would like to have me in their hit tv series.. I said yes without thinking twice, since their tv series is one of the top rating stripping series in Indonesia!

I went to the location in Bekasi and was handed the script..It's about this guy, Jack who wants to marry "Mama Tasya"(Tasya's mom).Jack has a son called Mark (Played by El).Simple?NO!!There's a strange twist to this story!!

One day, the neighbours caught Jack and Teddy (Played by me) were hugging and saying "I love yous" to each other..So the nosy neighbours told Mama Tasya that Indra was GAY and had a male lover!!

Needless to say, Jack got into trouble and almost broke up with Mama Tasya!!

Well, since this is a family's story, of course it turns out later that the whole thing was just a big misunderstanding..Apparently TEDDY (my character), is Jack's foster brother, whom he picked off the streets when he was selling peanuts..Hahaha funny isn't it?Can you imagine MOI as a peanut hawker??

The following videos are the ones I took during the break..One of me "interviewing" El (Who played El, Jack's son) and the other one of me, Indra (Who played Jack) and a chick (I forgot her name hahah) joking around in the talent's room...Just having sum fun to pass the time as usual!!:p

MY NEW TV COMMERCIAL!!

Last Sunday, February 22 2009, I got a text message from my agency asking me to come to this casting for a TV ad for a cellular connection provider with the shooting date of 24th of February 2009. I thought that this must have been just a plan to find a back-up talent for the TVC since there was no way this could happen!!Usually the shooting usually takes place at 1-2 weeks after the casting.

But I went to the casting anyway since the location, Kemang, was not so far from my house and my agency said that there were not too many people coming.So I went there and met Ivan, one of my "casting buddies"..Dunt know why I frequently meet him on casting sites..

I was so sure that he was going to get the part since he was better looking than me and more "eurasian".The casting text did say that TVC needed eurasian/caucasian looks.

However, in the evening, I got a call from the production house (PH) that I was one of the nominated talents for the ad, they asked me to wait 'til 5 PM the next day for the confirmation.

The next day, I waited 'til 3 but there was no buzz from the PH so I decided to forget about it and went to another casting..Just when I was in the middle of waiting for the casting (Where I met IVAN AGAIN!!), I got a call from the PH and they said that I GOT the part and asked me to go there immediately.."

So, I went there like a speeding bullet and went for fitting..During the "session" I asked when the shooting date was and they said "24th February!!"..I still couldn't believe it, so I stayed awake the whole night, all too excited and worried that I wouldn't wake up at the right time(3 AM the next day)..

Right after my bath at 03.00 AM(!), I went to this location in Depok, a RICE FIELD, no less and arrived on 04.00 AM!!The shooting began on 7 AM..I was "HUNG TO DRY" for 4 hrs under the EXTREMELY HOT sun that I got sunburned..I acted as one of the president's (SBY) aide in the TVC..The story board tells a story when SBY can't communicate properly to Obama thru his mobile phone due to bad connection.So I as the smart aide abruptly took the mobile phone from him and gave a new one (With a different provider) which would allow him to better communicate with Obama...Interesting ad, huh?:p Wonder when this would happen in REAL life!!Haha..

The other version was about this cellular provider that only concentrates on giving low rates to consumers without paying attention towards the quality of the reception.I acted as one of the staffs to this arrogant boss of this provider..The good news is that I got two lines here while the other staff only got 1..So i Guess I was lucky..

I think the ad would come out either end of month or the beginning of next month..Oh well, can't wait to see it!!How bout you, friends??

Mom's Bday Party at the Mulia Hotel Senayan

Today is the birthday of two of my fave persons: my mom and my very good friend, Adjie..To celebrate my mom's bday, me n my family went to Hotel Mulia Senayan.This is my fave place for having buffets.It has foods of lotsa origins: Japanese, Italian, American, Thailand, French etc.
The little girl in the pic with me is my niece...She's my second eldest sister's daughter, and she's an only child.That's why she's so God damn spoiled since she has no competition:p. Her mum bought her a blackberry and a lap top!!..She doesn't even know how to use the blackberry to the full extent. What a waste, huh?It turns out that all the other kids at her school all have Blackberries, too!!I guess kids nowadays are WAY different than the kids in my generation..We were so simple back then in terms of toys..The most we could have were roller coasters and robots!!hahah

I'm sort of a person who likes to try lotsa different foods in one time haha..So, today I had Sashimi, mussels, brie cheese, almond, kernels and pistachio all mixed in the same plate...Not satisfied with that, I went to get the Spaghetti carbonara, which is spaghetti mixed with milk n cheese sauce added with smoked beef afterwards..No calorie counting here :p.....

I closed the meal with 2 serves of creme brulees (Egg yolk topped with caramel), caviar and pistacchio mousse..

Well, today is sure a gastronomic day!Tomorrow will be SPORTS day!!Need to work off all those calories intake today haha

T.I.R.E.D!!

Hmmm..

Just got back from the gym...Didn't do that much exercise, though, just did sum leg n tummy routines...10 minutes each of cardio before and after...

Met three friends, Ferdy the doctor, Kevin the model/actor and Ikhsan the singer...Talked to the three of them with different topics.

As usual, I asked Ferdy one or two things on health issues..And he, as usual, too, answered every question politely and clearly..He's a nice person really..I always LOVE to have doctors as friends since I'm a bit of a hypochondriac ie sumone who's always worries about his health..

Kevin has the habit of coming up to me and chat me up for hours so that I tend to neglect my exercise and concentrate on talking to him..He's a nice guy, though..Very sincere and down- to -earth unlike other models I know..I connect well with him so everytime we talk, it would take an hour or so...I know, not a very good thing to do at the gym..So I make sure that I do my exercise routine on 2-3 machines before chatting with him:p..The topic today was an actor friend of mine who had become a cosmethologist now..

The last person I talked to was Ikhsan..He began on coming to the gym again pretty frequently lately..apparently he wanted to add some weight..He said that he could gain weight if he drank some milk from GNC..But he was sometimes lazy to finish the whole can:p.I suggested him to come to an accupuncturist to have his weight boosted up..I also asked him about his second pop album...He said that he had a new single coming up in March..Nice..U make a lot of money from a single if u make it an RBT, especially if it turns out to be a massive hit, no need to make a full album...Costs a lot of money...And then I started to wonder when my album will come out???Hopefully while I'am still alive!!hahaaahh...
