Agnes Monica Muljoto is one of the greatest entertainers Indonesia has ever had!!She's an accomplished singer, actress who's a master at hip hop dancing and has even begun to write her own song!!
She recently came up with her newest (3rd - yes 3rd!) album entitled "Sacredly Agnezious". The first single of this album "Matahariku" was issued last year and was one of the RBTs with the highest downloads (1.5 million approx).
Her second single, "Godai Aku Lagi" was a break through for this amazing artist since she wrote the song herself!Personally, I think this is by far her most "ultra hip" single that she ever produced..The video clip was spectacular and the music arrangement was FANTASTIC!!However, the "traditional" Indonesian music market couldn't accept such a masterpiece and hence, the single didn't meet with much success..
It's her THIRD single that's taking the music market by storm.."TERUSKANLAH" written by DewiQ is a MASSIVE hit and is currecnly receiving numerous amounts of airplays in radio stations throughout Indonesia. Teruskanlah is so similar to Matahariku and Cinta di Ujung Jalan, the kinds of ballads that have always paved the way to Agnes' past successes. Yeah, same old same old!!
Her next interesting song in this album is a track that Agnes writes herself called "Shake it Off"..It's a groovy hip hop n r n b song that will get your hips moving!!Cool and funky..
Her next ballad of choice will be "RAPUH" written by Badai Keris Patih..This is a romantic, mellow ballad which has Badai's name written all over it..The music arrangement is very minimalistic with the sound of piano dominating the whole song...But very sentimental and touchy..It's one of my favorite tracks of the album..
